Media Coordinator


The Media Coordinator, established as a Staff Position during the first meeting of the 2008 – 2009 Board of Directors, shall perform the following duties:

1. To become actively involved with electronic and print media for applicable veterans organizations.

2. Continually seek out and make contact with service members who served aboard the USS King through the applicable electronic and print media.

3. Ensure updated reunion and contact information is made available to the applicable electronic and print media.

The media coordinator shall fall under the direction of the Communications Director. Membership and subscriptions to applicable organizations shall be paid for by the Association upon approval of the Board of Directors.

The Media Coordinator will maintain an open line of communications with the Membership Director so that any potential new member information may be acted upon by the Membership Director.

The Media Coordinator will maintain an open line of communications with the Administration Director so that any changes in shipmate information may be added to the database by the Membership Director or the Database Administrator.

The Media Coordinator will maintain an open line of communications with the Reunion Director so that reunion information can be kept current.

The position of Media Coordinator may be filled by any Member in good standing upon approval of the Board of Directors.
